Acronis True Image Home 2010 Delivers Easy Backup, Fast Recovery and Exceptional Security

Try&Decide; Saving New Files During System Restore Highlight New Features For Home, SOHO Users

September 13, 2007, Paris — Computer users can easily protect their entire computer, including valuable photos, music, videos and work documents, with Acronis True Image Home 2010 — the latest version of Acronis' file and system disk imaging backup and restore software for home and home office users.

Acronis True Image Home 2010 backs up individual files or an entire computer image to a separate external drive or disc, providing complete protection from viruses, trojans and hardware failures that can cause the catastrophic loss of irreplaceable files and software. In the event of a computer failure, users can quickly and easily restore their data or images to the system to get up and running in minutes.

The new version adds powerful, yet easy-to-use features including the exclusive. Try&Decide feature, which allows users to perform potentially dangerous operations such as software installation or e-mail attachment opening without putting their PC at risk. It does this by creating a secure, temporary workspace that is insulated from the rest of your computer. The user can either commit the changes to their hard disk or simply delete all changes without impacting their hard disk at all.

Added security and privacy functionality includes Acronis Drive Cleanser, which securely erases hard drives before discarding or donating a computer, and File Shredder, which wipes out individual computer files so that they are permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
